Pronouns

When first creating our website, we both intended to contribute posts to the blog, and so we tried to speak in one voice: we. As our trip unfolds, however, we are developing a rhythm and a division of labor that plays to each of our strengths. Mark, the fire master, usually makes coffee in the morning while Julie packs up the sleeping bags. Mark manages the navigation, while Julie figures out our nightly accommodations.

And, as it turns out, I (Julie) have been writing the blog posts. Mark reviews them all before they’re posted, but since the blog is more my ruminations about our trip, I am switching pronouns from we to I.  I may have started this trip with a royal pain in the a**, but I doubt that confers the privilege to use the royal ‘we.’
