Holed Up in Amiens

May 30, 2016:

We spent two full days in Amiens where we hoped to take in some sights, but it was so bitterly cold and wet that after taking an audio tour of the cathedral in the heart of the city, we abandoned all other efforts to sightsee.

Instead, we ran necessary errands (grocery shopping, map shopping, internet shopping, laundry, etc.) and then hung out in the TV room at the campground on the outskirts of town to wait out the rain. We waited, and we waited…we spent two days and three nights waiting out the heavy storms. Well, at least we finally got an opportunity to work on the blog.
